Anyone interested in becoming a coach for travel or recreational basketball is required to meet the requirements below. 

 

 

 

 

Register Online -

  • Coaches must register each season - click here

RUTGERS Safety Course - 

  • Coaches must complete the RUTGERS Safety course 

  • Strongly encouraged for High School coaches

CPR/AED Certified –

  • All coaches must be certified every two years 

  • Strongly encouraged for High School coaches

  • To find a local CPR/AED class - click here

 

Fingerprinting - 

  • Fingerprinting is MANDATORY for all adult coaches. Anyone that was fingerprinted prior to 2009 MUST be refingerprinted (required by Warren Recreation).

Background Check -

  • Any coach who was fingerprinted more than 3 years ago must submit to a background check

Concussion Training -

  • All coaches must complete online concussion training 

  • Strongly encouraged for High School coaches

High School Coaches -

  • WYBA allows for high school students to participate as coaches 

  • All high school coaches must have a fully certified adult coach as a coach on their team

  • This adult coach MUST be present at all practices and games
