Travel Program

Travel Program Overview

The travel program is available to girls in grades 4-8 from Warren, Watchung and Green Brook.  The program is affiliated with the Jersey Basketball League (JBL) program.

Our program competitive environment and players must try out for the opportunity to be accepted into the program.  The program leverages experienced volunteered coaching staff, competitive play and the opportunity to play against teams throughout JBL program.

Once the season has started teams will meet three times per week (Usually two weekdays and Saturday).

The WYBA will not deny the opportunity for any child to take part in any program due to financial hardship. You may submit an application to reduce or waive fees to the WYBA Board. The WYBA Board keeps all applications confidential.

2024 Travel Tryouts Schedule

The 2024-25 season is expected to start in December (practices in November possibly earlier depending on the coach).

Location Time Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

All players wishing to play travel basketball must attend at least one tryout, both are preferred. Be sure to bring a ball and water.
Parents may not stay and watch the tryouts.
Tryouts are run by independent evaluators who are experienced in assessing players. It is expected that if your child makes the team they will treat the team as a priority.
